Job summary

Heritage Search Partners seeks an Investment Associate based in Boston or New York to source and originate new opportunities while managing current portfolio operations. The role focuses on engaging with entrepreneurs and co-investors and coordinating across MBA networks and ETA clubs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of full-time experience, a degree in any field, and strong communication skills to handle sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support throughout the fundraising cycle.

Qualifications

• MBA not required; candidates with other backgrounds will be considered.
• At least 3 years of full-time work experience.
• Some tie to the search fund/ ETA ecosystem.
• Strong communication skills; ability to engage with entrepreneurs daily.

Responsibilities

• Originating new investment opportunities from conferences, co-investor referrals, MBA program networks, general referrals, and inbound emails.
• Evaluating investment opportunities with industry/sector analysis, deal-specific due diligence, and team assessment.
• Managing a large pipeline of deals on our CRM.
• Maintaining strong relationships with existing entrepreneurs we've backed and those we evaluate.
• Maintaining relationships with key co-investors and ETA club leaders within top MBA programs.
• Communicating with existing searchers and entrepreneurs in our portfolio to support sourcing, deal diligence, and operations.
• Supporting fund-level marketing materials and quarterly investor updates.
• Attending ETA conferences across the U.S. and speaking at core MBA programs.
