Job summary

Finatal is seeking an Investment Associate for its Corporate Development team in New York. The role involves leading full‑cycle M&A work for recurring‑revenue software and technology‑enabled services, including screening opportunities, building financial models, and preparing boards’ materials.

Ideal candidates will have 2–5 years of end‑to‑end M&A experience in IB/PE, strong software metrics knowledge, and comfort with AI tools to support research and diligence.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, or private credit with end‑to‑end M&A execution experience.
  • Experience in software, SaaS and/or tech-enabled services deals is essential; vertical or application software exposure is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of software and SaaS metrics (ARR, net retention, churn, LTV/CAC).
  • Advanced financial modelling skills and ability to build complex operating models.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the M&A pipeline, screening and qualifying opportunities and updating CRM.
  • Develop and maintain detailed M&A models and valuation analyses for software/SaaS companies.
  • Create driver‑based operating models for recurring‑revenue dynamics.
  • Produce executive materials for boards and investment committees.
  • Coordinate end‑to‑end deal timelines and deliverables across functions.
