Job summary

TransGrid Energy, a renewables-focused group, seeks an Associate, Investments to build and own sophisticated financial models for battery storage, PV assets, and data center opportunities. You will translate operating, market, and transaction assumptions into defensible valuations and returns, guiding strategic investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, mathematics, or related field.
• 3–5 years in investment banking, infrastructure or PE, corporate development, valuation, or energy investing.
• Ability to build integrated financial models from a blank workbook with cash flows, returns, and scenario analyses.
• Strong understanding of valuation methods including DCF, NAV, and comparable analyses.
• Experience modeling acquisitions, ventures, equity investments, and structured terms.
• Interpret term sheets and finance documents into accurate model mechanics.
• Knowledge of renewable energy project economics and project finance concepts.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for transparent, auditable models.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to explain model results.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project-level and portfolio-level financial models across BESS, solar PV, and data centers.
• Develop transaction models for acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
• Perform valuations using DCF, NAV, precedents, and comparables.
• Forecast revenues, costs, and cash flows including PPAs, hedges, tax credits, and capex.
• Model equity structures, staged funding, and waterfall distributions.
• Support due diligence, committee materials, and negotiations with cross-functional teams.
• Design and automate scenario and sensitivity analyses using Excel, VBA, Python.
• Establish standardized templates and documentation for consistency and auditability.
• Monitor pipelines and assess portfolio impacts of capital decisions.
• Incorporate project finance assumptions into investment models and strategic analyses.
