Job summary

Metis Search in Los Angeles is seeking an Investment Associate to join its private capital team. Take a leading role throughout the investment process, including deal screening, financial analysis and modeling, industry research, due diligence, and investment evaluation.

You will prepare investment memoranda and presentations, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors, and work closely with senior investment professionals while owning key workstreams.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3 years of full-time Investment Banking experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering.
• Strong modeling and analytical skills in energy/infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Take a leading role throughout the investment process, including deal screening, financial analysis and modeling, industry research, due diligence, and investment evaluation.
• Conduct market and industry research, identify key investment trends, and contribute to investment theses.
• Prepare and develop investment memoranda, presentations, and other materials to support investment decisions and fundraising initiatives.
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external advisors, management teams, and counterparties.
• Work collaboratively with senior investment professionals while taking ownership of key workstreams and analyses.

Requirements

• Approximately 3 years of full-time experience in Investment Banking, ideally with relevant exposure to infrastructure, energy, or related sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience in energy and/or infrastructure-related modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workstreams independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong commercial judgment, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for investing in infrastructure and real assets.
