Job summary

Dartmouth Partners seeks an Private Equity Associate to join its energy and infrastructure investments team in Washington, DC. The role entails evaluating, underwriting, and managing investments across energy, infrastructure, power & utilities, oil & gas, and energy transition sectors.

You will build detailed financial models, perform due diligence, and support investment committee materials while collaborating with senior professionals on debt and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, project finance, structured credit, or a related investment role.
  • Transaction experience within energy, power & utilities, infrastructure, industrials, natural resources, oil & gas, or energy transition sectors.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Experience evaluating both debt and equity investment opportunities.
  • Familiarity with project finance, structured capital, or infrastructure-related transactions is highly desirable.
  • A strong academic background and a demonstrated interest in energy and infrastructure investing.
  • Washington, DC-based candidates are preferred; relocation within a reasonable timeframe will be considered.

Private Equity Associate – Energy & Infrastructure Investments

Location: Washington, DC

A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking an Associate to join its investment team in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating, executing, and managing investments across the energy, infrastructure, power & utilities, oil & gas, and energy transition sectors.

This role offers significant exposure to complex transactions, investment underwriting, portfolio management, and interaction with senior investment professionals. The Associate will work across both debt and equity investments, with a particular focus on infrastructure, energy, and structured capital opportunities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Evaluating and executing investment opportunities across energy and infrastructure-related sectors.
