About the Role

In this role, you’ll support investment decisions, processes, and reporting across global public fixed income markets.

You will be part of the Public Fixed Income Team, contributing to research, investment oversight, and execution, while working closely with internal stakeholders and external managers.

Key accountabilities may include :

  • Conduct market and portfolio research to support investment views and strategy.
  • Monitor investment performance and market developments, and contribute to internal discussions and meetings with external partners.
  • Support the evaluation of new investments and coordinate reviews of external asset managers.
  • Prepare reports and materials for internal committees and business unit stakeholders.
  • Handle daily tasks such as market monitoring, report production, and meeting preparation.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives related to responsible investing, technology adoption, and asset allocation.

About You

Strong analytical and research skills with a structured and pragmatic approach describes you well! You have ability to work well under pressure and compressed deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail. And you are a strong communicator with a naturally collaborative mindset.

Additional requirements include :

  • A university degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field. CFA designation is a plus.
  • Up to 4 years of relevant experience in investments in fixed income markets, preferably in asset management, treasury or risk in an insurance setting
  • Fixed Income and Blackrock Aladdin knowledge/experience is preferable
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; and experience with Bloomberg or programming

About the Team

As the AM division we are investing the assets generated from our core insurance and reinsurance business. We drive sustainable performance by following a long-term oriented investment approach and focus on a high-quality investment portfolio. As a diverse team of investment professionals, we ensure a strong contribution to Swiss Re's financial performance. In addition, we also support the company's thought leadership on long-term and responsible investing themes, and act as a "Centre of Excellence" for financial market expertise.

You will be working with high-potential employees in close interaction with other financial market professionals from the various investment teams, while reporting into the Head Credit.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $156,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
