Role Summary

As an Investment Analyst, you will be part of a results-oriented, collaborative and high-performing team. You are responsible for generating, researching, assessing and presenting investment ideas through fundamental company analysis for inclusion in the portfolios. Additionally, you will research industry and regional trends across a broad range of markets, partnering with the team to determine suitability of investment ideas.

You are a highly motivated, intellectually curious individual possessing a combination of strong quantitative skills, detail orientation and ability to consistently meet deadlines. You operate as a self-starter in an ambitious and collaborative environment. You seek out and embrace the challenge of achieving success in a high-impact, measurable and results-oriented environment.

Our Real Estate Investment Team manages a portfolio of $2 billion in global assets consisting of domestic and international properties. The team is comprised of five and based in our New York office. The group focuses on two primary strategies - US and Global, designed to deliver pure exposure to the US and non-US real estate markets. The team seeks to deliver total return through capital appreciation and income from holdings in US and Non-US real estate investment trusts (REITs).

This role will report to the SVP & Senior Portfolio Manager, US & Global REITs

This hybrid position will be based out of our New York office.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Identification, assessment and development of ideas and recommendations for inclusion in portfolios.
  • Preparation of research templates and earnings models for investment research.
  • Monitoring of portfolio holdings through maintenance of earnings models.
  • Build and maintain a “network” of company and industry contacts.
  • Actively update the team and colleague broadly on important industry events and news flows
  • Make sell recommendations.

What You Bring to the Team (Required)

  • Relevant Experience - a minimum of 3-5 years experience performing broad-based, fundamental analysis of companies for investment research. Prior experience with REITs preferred
  • Technical Skills - evidenced through prior building financial models used for company and earnings analysis, as a foundation for presenting and defending investment theses. Knowledge of either real estate and/or financial sectors preferred
  • Communication Skills - strong written, verbal and presentation skills demonstrated through an ability to communicate investments and articulate complex business models concisely and accurately
  • Collaborative Orientation - Able to partner, work alongside and provide support to senior teammates in fundamental research.
  • Education - an undergraduate degree in economics, business, finance or a comparable program with an emphasis on international study required. Advanced degrees such as an MBA and/or CFA preferred

For New York and California based candidates, the salary range for this role is $130,000.00-$150,000.00. Actual offers are based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position is eligible for cash incentive providing the potential to earn more.

Employees are required to be in the office on a scheduled frequency. Adherence to this schedule is essential to fulfilling the expectations of the role.
