Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Investments by updating models, researching tilts, and selecting managers.
• Lead monitoring of public managers via OCIO team and due diligence.
• Serve as lead contact to public market managers alongside the Director across asset classes.
• Assist with trading by analysis, updating, and using Black Diamond Rebalancer.
• Respond to client, custodian, and internal inquiries to ensure timely processing.
• Support underwriting, data gathering, and reporting for client portfolios.
• Represent Matthias Private Wealth at events with leadership.
• Maintain organized investment advisory documents.
• Compile reports and build client presentations for distribution.
• Identify trends and inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Build automated reports/dashboards in Morningstar, Black Diamond, and Cobalt.
• Lead and support routine and special projects as needed.
• May include other duties as needed.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Investment Analyst or Senior Analyst role based in Winter Park, FL. The analyst will support portfolio management by performing security and manager research, building and maintaining financial models, and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis across asset classes. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring portfolios, preparing investment reports and presentations, and assisting with asset allocation and rebalancing decisions. The analyst will evaluate investment opportunities, track market and economic developments, and contribute to the firm’s investment committee discussions. The role also involves collaborating with advisors and client service professionals to address client-specific investment needs and respond to ad hoc analytical requests.

Qualifications

• Assist the Director of Investments in managing client portfolios including updating models, researching tactical and strategic tilts, and choosing underlying managers.
• Take the lead in monitoring the firm’s public managers through both the firm’s OCIO research team and the analyst’s own due diligence and sourcing.
• Act as lead coverage and point of contact to public market managers, alongside Director of Investments, across all asset classes.
• Assist Director of Investments with trading either through analysis, updating and maintaining Black Diamond Rebalancer, or direct involvement.
• Responds to inquiries from clients, custodians, and internal departments to ensure timely effective processing of requests.
• Assist with underwriting tasks, data collection, and report preparation for client investment portfolios and potentially internally managed funds.
• Represent the company and accompany leadership to speaking events and industry functions as required.
• Maintain and organize documents related to the investments advisory function, ensuring documentation is organized, complete, and readily available.
• Compile reports from various systems, build presentations for client interactions, and distribute to appropriate stakeholders.
• Identify operational trends, root causes, workflow and system inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Build and maintain automated reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to in support of the investment advisory function in various software systems including Morningstar, Black Diamond, and Cobalt.
• Act as both lead and support for both routine and special projects, with a willingness to handle any task, big or small.
