Job summary

The David and Lucile Packard Foundation in Los Altos, CA is seeking an Investment Analyst to support a small team across the investment process. You will analyze data, perform due diligence, and prepare materials for the Investment Committee, working closely with portfolio managers and external fund managers.

You will interact with leading fund managers and gain hands-on experience in portfolio construction, risk management, and market research while contributing to the foundation’s long-term

Qualifications

• Up to two years of work experience in an analytical role relevant to investing.
• Strong interest in investing as a career and solid quantitative abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and synthesize portfolio-wide data related to exposures and performance.
• Monitor and share news flow and industry research relevant to the portfolio.
• Conduct analyses on existing and prospective fund managers to gain insights.
• Participate in meetings with fund managers as part of due diligence and monitoring.
• Prepare materials for discussion with the Investment Committee.
• Build relationships with colleagues at peer institutions and fund managers.
• Be in person in our Los Altos, CA headquarters three days per week.
