Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking a Finance Expert to evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios and verify the accounting behind them. You will write judgments that teach models defensible finance work and ensure three-statement linkages are correct.

Responsibilities include stress-testing models, tracing numbers to expose discrepancies, and delivering defensible analyses with clear drivers for executive review. A remote, project-based role with flexible workload exists.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
• Fluency with modeling: three-statement builds, DCF, and the accounting behind them.
• Clear written English: explanations as training signal.
• No degree required; focus on ability over formal credentials.

Models can build a three-statement model that looks clean and still get the mechanics wrong: a balance sheet that doesn't balance, working capital that flows the wrong way, a circular reference silently zeroed out. Someone has to trace the numbers back through the logic, and that someone is you.

As a Finance Expert you'll evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios, check the valuation assumptions and the accounting behind them, and write the judgments that teach models what defensible finance work looks like.

What you’ll actually do

• Stress-test AI-built models on real corporate scenarios: three-statement linkages, DCF assumptions, and the working-capital logic underneath.
• Trace the reasoning to expose plugged numbers, broken drivers, and conclusions the model's own math doesn't support.
• Write the defensible analysis when the model falls short: honest assumptions, clear drivers, and a number you'd put in front of a CFO.
