Job summary

Legacy Knight is seeking an Investment Analyst to support research and diligence across private and public investments. You will conduct manager research, draft investment recommendations, and present to the Investment Committee for inclusion in client portfolios.

You will develop economic insights, produce internal reports, and aid in underwriting investments across multiple asset classes, supporting the team and clients with rigorous analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and strong academic record.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and written/oral communication.
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Intellectual curiosity with critical thinking.
• Experience with FactSet, Addepar, or Claude is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investment and manager research across private and public investments.
• Provide client-facing quarterly updates on existing investments and share updates with the team.
• Draft and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee for client portfolios.
• Perform deep economic research to develop thematic investment insights.
• Design and produce internal reporting and analysis across investment strategies.
• Underwrite investments in funds and direct investments, presenting findings to the committee.

The Investment Analyst will support investment research and diligence across a variety of private and public investments.

In This Role, You Will

• Conduct investment and manager research across a range of alternative investment asset classes.
• Be responsible for client facing quarterly updates on existing investments along with communicating key updates to the team.
• Work with other members of the investment team to draft and present investment recommendations to the internal Investment Committee for review and approval for inclusion in client portfolios.
• Conduct deep economic research to develop thematic investment insights that drive manager research and investment efforts.
• Design and produce internal reporting and analysis of activities and results across all investment strategies and funds.

Direct and Fund Investment Underwriting

• Work alongside investment team to underwrite investments in funds across a variety of asset classes such as private equity, private credit, venture capital, real assets, hedge funds, and more.
• Work alongside the investment team to underwrite direct investments into companies across a variety of sectors, stages, and geographies.
• Conduct due diligence and present findings to internal investment committee for inclusion in client portfolios.
• Work alongside client facing team members to help craft compelling materials to present investment ideas to clients for investment.

Economic and Thematic Research

• Conduct deep economic research using a variety of resources across topics relevant to the investment universe.
• Synthesize the economic research into actionable deliverables that will be used to help guide client discussions.
• Utilize research to help identify compelling areas for thematic investments.

Investment Reporting and Communications

• Quarterly, craft outward facing updates on existing investments to be used in client communications.
• Work alongside team members and the compliance department to ensure that all outbound materials comply with relevant rules and regulations.
