We are working with a privately held investment firm seeking an Investment Analyst to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and gain exposure to investment evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, and ongoing portfolio management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical foundation, an interest in investments, and the ability to evaluate opportunities from both a financial and strategic perspective.

This is a hands-on role within a lean team where the Analyst will have meaningful exposure to investment decisions and the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the firm continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate potential investments, project cash flows, and assess expected returns.
• Conduct financial analysis, market research, and due diligence to support investment decisions.
• Evaluate financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and prepare sensitivity analyses across different investment scenarios.
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and supporting materials for senior leadership.
• Monitor existing investments, analyze performance against budgets and projections, and identify material variances.
• Assist with the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities.
• Research market trends, industry developments, and economic factors that may impact investment performance.
• Collaborate with senior investment professionals and external stakeholders throughout the investment process.
• Maintain accurate financial models, investment documentation, and reporting materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 1–3+ years of experience in investment analysis, financial analysis, underwriting, transaction advisory, or a related analytical role preferred.
• Strong Excel skills, including experience with financial modeling, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analysis.
• Understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and investment fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
