Job summary

Farmers and Merchants State Bank is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support investment advisors by handling clerical tasks, client inquiries, and account processing. You will help maintain IRAs, prepare management reports, and coordinate campaigns under supervision of FM Investment Manager.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, the ability to read financial documents, and formal education or related experience. Office-based position with compliance and ongoing training requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two-year college, or two to four years related experience.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Able to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to sales efforts (scheduling, client questions, filing, paperwork).
• Update and maintain self-directed IRAs and custodial fees; collect annual fees.
• Assist Investment Manager with management reports.
• Research account histories, statements and tax reports.
• Coordinate project tasks: prospect mailings, marketing campaigns, seminars, referral campaigns.
• Maintain inventory of FM Investment Services literature and office supplies.
• Answer, screen and direct calls.
• Complete continuing education and regulatory tests as required.
