F&M Financial Services Advisors in Virginia is seeking an Investments Relationship Specialist I / II to support administrative, sales, and marketing activities for client accounts. You will onboard clients, coordinate transfers, schedule meetings, and assist Advisors with relationship opportunities.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to handle confidential information. Licensing milestones may be required for the II level.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: Series 7 and 66 licenses or licensed within 6 months to advance to Level II.
  • Associate degree and at least 1 year of administrative experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience in financial services industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Onboards new account clients into CRM and creates client profiles.
  • Follows up with clients on transfers, rollovers, checks, and delivery requirements.
  • Schedules and organizes appointments for clients and prospective clients with Advisors.
  • Assists Advisors in identifying relationship opportunities internal and external.
  • Meets with clients to accept unsolicited trades or instructions in Advisors' absence.
  • Creates and maintains marketing materials with Marketing department; provides materials to branches.
  • Coordinates seminars, events, and client appreciation events.
  • Prepares for and coordinates meetings; takes minutes and distributes information.
  • Tracks referrals from Bank employees and reports for referral bonuses.
  • Performs other related administrative, operational, and clerical duties.

Description

The Investments Relationship Specialist provides administrative, sales, and marketing support to F&M Financial Services Advisors.

Essential Duties:
Investments Relationship Specialist I / II:
  • Onboards new account clients into appropriate systems including creating client profile in Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) system following proper procedures.
  • Follows up with clients on transfers, rollovers, checks, and delivery requirements.
  • Schedules and organizes appointments for clients and prospective clients with Advisors.
  • Assists Advisors in searching for relationship opportunities internally and externally.
  • Meets with clients to accept unsolicited trades or instructions in the absence of Advisors ( move to below) .
  • Creates and maintains marketing materials in conjunction with F & M Bank marketing department. Provides marketing/promotional materials to branches ensuring stock is current.
  • Coordinate seminars, events, and other client appreciation events.
  • Prepares for and coordinates department and other meetings. Prepares meeting agendas and other information needed as well as takes meetings’ minutes.
  • Tracks referrals from Bank employees and provides report to Human Resources for referral bonuses.
  • Performs other related administrative, operational, and clerical duties as required.
  • Maintains regular, reliable attendance.
Investments Relationship Specialist II (Licensed):
  • Assists in providing investment guidance to customers that may require transactions to be processed.
  • Prepares financial plans and executes trades as needed to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Meets with clients to accept unsolicited trades or instructions in the absence of Advisors.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent pc skills to include MS Office products and ability to learn and utilize other job-specific software.

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and prior administrative experience.
Preferred:
  • Series 7, 66, and Health and Life License or licensed within 6 months of hire to advance to Investments Relationship Specialist II.
  • Associate degree and a minimum of one-year administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in financial services industry.
Physical and Mental Demands:

  • The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Noise level is usually moderate.
Position Type/Hours:

This is a non-exempt position working primarily Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. with afterhours work and overtime as necessary.
