Job description

Daybright is currently seeking an Investment Advisor (CFP®) to join our Private Sector Retirement Solutions Segment located in Miami, FL. Be part of a team of thought leaders and seasoned benefits and retirement planning professionals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Daybright Advisory Services is a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) focused on individualized portfolio management and comprehensive financial planning. We design client portfolios around clearly articulated goals and risk tolerance, updating those profiles as life circumstances evolve.

We’re seeking a seasoned CFP®-credentialed Investment Advisor to manage a book of approximately 100 client households (mix of taxable and tax‑deferred accounts). You will establish, document, and continuously update client profiles – covering objectives, constraints, and risk tolerance – and translate those profiles into actionable planning and investment guidance. You’ll work independently day‑to‑day while partnering closely with the Investment Department as a trusted resource.

The Investment Advisor will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for client households through thoughtful planning and disciplined portfolio management as well as a collaborative culture within Advisory Services and the broader Investment Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Client Profiling & Documentation: Onboard and maintain complete household profiles (objectives, cash‑flow needs, time horizons, risk tolerance), ensuring thorough notes and updates are captured in CRM and retained per RIA record‑keeping standards.
  • Comprehensive Financial Planning: Build plans and ‘what‑if’ scenarios using MoneyGuidePro and/or Orion Planning; support retirement income planning, education funding, insurance reviews, estate considerations, and multi‑account coordination.
  • Portfolio Guidance & Implementation: Coordinate with the Investment Department on strategy selection, tax‑aware asset location, and rebalancing across taxable, municipal, and retirement accounts; monitor performance versus objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Conduct proactive check‑ins and formal review meetings; build rapport and trust through attentive service, clear communication, and transparent fiduciary practices.
  • Compliance & Fiduciary Care: Operate within SEC/state RIA regulations; ensure delivery of required disclosures (e.g., Form ADV), accurate fee billing, documentation of advice, and careful handling of privacy‑sensitive information.
  • Internal Collaboration: Serve as a valued resource to the Investment Department; contribute to process improvements, planning templates, and advisor education.
  • Business Development & Growth: Source new client relationships from your personal network of high‑net‑worth individuals and centers of influence (e.g., CPAs, attorneys, business owners); collaborate with key Daybright stakeholders to identify opportunities within the existing book; drive cross‑sell/upsell, referrals, and event/campaign follow‑through while maintaining pipeline hygiene and conversion metrics.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5–15 years of client‑facing investment management and financial planning experience.
  • Strong command of planning software (MoneyGuidePro and/or Orion Planning).
  • Demonstrated expertise across taxable, municipal, and retirement assets, including tax‑aware portfolio construction.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail; able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service mindset that builds long‑term rapport and trust.
  • Licensing: Series 65/66 (or ability to obtain promptly) strongly preferred; clean compliance record.
  • Occasional travel for client meetings and team collaboration may be required.
