About the Role
Join a collaborative advisory team to deliver comprehensive, fee-based financial advice as a fiduciary while proactively growing and serving a defined client base. You’ll lead impactful client conversations, surface planning opportunities, translate complex topics into clear guidance, and deliver a consistent, high-touch experience within a structured planning framework.
Responsibilities
- Grow and serve relationships
- Build a healthy pipeline through referrals, centers of influence, community involvement, networking, and digital engagement.
- Manage a book of roughly 150 client households within our client’s segmentation and service model.
- Lead discovery meetings; craft personalized plans covering investments, cash flow, risk management/insurance, retirement readiness, tax strategies, and estate considerations.
- Conduct regular planning reviews and provide behavioral coaching to support sound decision-making.
- Maintain strong relationships through timely follow-up, clear next steps, and trust-centered communication.
- Plan and deliver advice
- Perform financial check-ups and needs analysis using MoneyGuidePro or comparable planning software.
- Identify and communicate actionable investment and planning opportunities (e.g., tax-loss harvesting, model alignment, portfolio/risk adjustments).
- Present recommendations with clarity, confidence, and well-supported rationale.
- Partner closely with Client Service Associates and Service Advisors to ensure smooth onboarding, service delivery, and retention.
- Business development and brand presence
- Maintain consistent business development activity and a documented prospect pipeline.
- Represent our client at select events, workshops, and community initiatives.
- Strengthen visibility through digital channels, thought leadership, and community engagement.
- Documentation, compliance, and professionalism
- Keep thorough, timely records of meetings, planning notes, and follow-ups in CRM (Salesforce).
- Adhere to fiduciary standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes.
- Participate in continuing education, advisor training, and internal casework reviews.
- Align recommendations with our client’s investment philosophy and planning approach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- CFP designation (or actively pursuing) highly preferred
- FINRA Series 652–5+ years of RIA or financial planning experience
- Demonstrated success acquiring and retaining client relationships
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influence skills
- Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple clients and priorities
- High comfort with planning tools and CRM platforms
- Solid business, financial, and economic acumen
- Clean compliance record and a fiduciary mindset
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with MoneyGuidePro, Orion, SmartX, or similar platforms
- Track record in a planning-first, model-driven advisory environment
- Working knowledge of tax planning, risk management/insurance, and estate planning
- Background in behavioral finance or client coaching
