Aflac is seeking an Investment Accounting professional to analyze and reconcile complex investment transactions, support real estate owned investments, and assist with training junior staff. The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and at least four years in investments or related accounting.

You will coordinate with Global Investments, ensure ASC/GAAP compliance, and drive process improvements while supporting management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Four years of professional experience in investments or related accounting/reporting.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Analyzes and reconciles complex investment transactions daily.
• Participates in accounting and reporting of REOs investments.
• Assists with training and development of junior team members.
• Assists junior team members in resolving complex issues that may arise during daily processing.
• Coordinates activities with the Global Investments Division for resolving discrepancies or issues regarding investment transactions and investment, and ensures resolution is effective.
• Independently coordinates and maintains effective working relationships with business partners, including Accounting Policy, Tax, Financial Reporting, Global Investments, and internal and external auditors.
• Assists in developing and implementing new applications and analytical models, or enhancing existing systems and processes.
• Maintains a continuous improvement culture by looking for ways to eliminate manual processes and enhance processes and developing recommendations for improvement.
• Provides direct support to the investment accounting management team.
• Performs other duties as required.
