Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Investment Accounting Manager to lead a strategic investment accounting and operational improvement program. This hands-on leader will assess current-state processes, identify gaps, and drive measurable improvements across accounting, controls, and operations while coordinating with finance and technology teams.

The role requires strong program leadership, vendor/teams management, and excellent communication with executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex remediation, transformation, or stabilization programs within investment accounting or financial operations.
• Demonstrated people leadership, including oversight of vendor or managed-service teams.
• Strong project and program management with governance and reporting experience.
• Ability to identify root causes and implement practical process and control improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a strategic investment accounting and operational improvement program with defined objectives, milestones, and success metrics.
• Assess current-state processes, controls, workflows, and deliverables to identify gaps and remediation priorities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability across internal and external teams to improve execution quality and efficiency.
• Establish governance routines, status reporting, risk/issue management, and stakeholder communications.
• Design and implement process improvements, control enhancements, and documentation standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Accounting, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Reporting teams.
• Track and report progress against milestones, escalate risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies and operational control frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scalability and accuracy.

We are seeking an experienced Investment Accounting Manager to lead a critical accounting and operational improvement initiative. This individual will serve as the program lead, assessing current-state processes, identifying root causes of operational challenges, implementing corrective actions, and driving sustainable process and control improvements.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of investment accounting expertise, program leadership, stakeholder management, and operational transformation experience. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of stabilizing operations, improving execution, and delivering measurable results in a complex financial environment.

Rate: $85.00-$95.00/hr. (W2)

Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience leading complex remediation, transformation, or stabilization programs within investment accounting or financial operations.
• Demonstrated people leadership, including oversight of vendor or managed-service teams and performance turnaround initiatives.
• Strong project and program management skills with experience establishing structured governance and reporting processes.
• Ability to identify root causes and implement practical process and control improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level reporting.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.
• Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Accounting/Finance) is a plus.
