Overview of the Position The Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Florida is accepting applications for the position of Investigator/Mitigation Specialist in the Jacksonville office. The investigator plays an integral role in the development and work-up of a case. The investigator must possess excellent communication skills and will be required to work in a team atmosphere. The duties will include, but are not limited to, locating and interviewing witnesses, retrieving documents or tangible evidence, serving subpoenas, and visiting crime scenes.
