Job Summary:

This position requires the investigator to evaluate each case for compliance with all Labor Department jurisdictional programs. Investigations are mainly conducted from the office, with limited fieldwork on an as-needed basis.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona, based on department needs and performance metrics.

Job Duties:
  • Receive and evaluate wage, sick leave, minimum wage, retaliation, youth labor, and payment compliance claims. Contact involved parties to gather information and clarify concerns. Weigh evidence to determine case outcomes.
  • Provide education and resources to ensure future compliance.
  • Render written determinations with findings, conclusions, and final orders based on evidence.
  • Document actions, conversations, and justifications to support determinations.

Selective Preference:

Investigation and caseload management experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license if required. Complete all training and pass record checks. Maintain acceptable driving records and insurance if using a personal vehicle for state business. All new hires must complete E-Verify.
