State of California, Bureau of Gambling Control, seeks Investigative Auditors to travel across California and perform on-site evaluations of gambling establishments, reviewing financial records and internal controls.

Ideal candidates have auditing/accounting background, strong written and verbal communication skills, and willingness to travel to tribal lands where smoking may be allowed. Travel throughout the state is required.

Formación

• Auditing and/or accounting background is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of governmental and gaming industry standards and auditing procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Perform on-site evaluations of gambling establishments' financial records.
• Review internal controls, revenue determination, and compliance per laws and compacts.
• Apply accounting and auditing principles and document work papers.
• Ensure methodologies align with audit program standards.
• Attend entrance/exit conferences and interview staff.
• Communicate with stakeholders via email/phone.
• Utilize computer programs to analyze financial data and draw conclusions.
• Access and maintain audit data and files.
