NEWSWELL at Arizona State University is seeking an audience producer to help a statewide investigative team maximize reach and impact. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, guiding processes, and creating internal and public-facing documentation of effects.

It emphasizes cross-platform outreach and community engagement to bring journalism to people. The producer collaborates with senior statewide reporters and local newsrooms, driving innovations in events, outreach, and audience

Formación

• Requires journalism background or related field with experience in audience engagement or outreach.
• Experience coordinating multi-month investigations and coordinating with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with impact-driven, cross-platform storytelling and newsroom collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Support and amplify the process of conceiving, developing and producing investigative and accountability reporting.
• Build systems to help deliver exclusive findings and measure or track civic impact.
• Mentor and coach local newsrooms and collaborate on local reporting.
• Use multiple digital publishing formats when appropriate.
• Support and help lead community forums and partner events; Pilot new tools, including responsible AI, to enhance research, document analysis and workflow efficiency.
• Partner with ASU's Walter Cronkite School and other academic institutions to create student engagement opportunities.
