Job summary

District of Columbia Public Schools seeks an Analyst, Investigations to conduct administrative investigations into employee misconduct, discrimination complaints, and safety concerns. You will interview witnesses, collect evidence, assess credibility, and draft thorough investigative reports for DCPS leadership and HR.

The role requires independence, professionalism, and adherence to DCPS policies, bargaining agreements, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; one year of experience OR two years of experience (no degree requirement).
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to work under tight deadlines.
• Experience with or exposure to EEO laws, discrimination complaints, and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct administrative investigations involving employee misconduct and policy violations.
• Plan and execute investigations, identify witnesses, collect evidence, and assess credibility.
• Prepare investigative reports with findings and recommendations for leadership and HR.
• Maintain confidential case files and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Testify in hearings, proceedings, and coordinate with external agencies as needed.
