The Fort Lauderdale Bureau of the Consumer Protection Division within the Office of the Attorney General is hiring an Investigation Specialist II. The role supports civil investigations, reviews complaints, analyzes trends, and coordinates with investigators and attorneys to advance cases. Strong Excel, OSINT, and reporting skills are essential.

Salary is $48,000 annually. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with duties that may include travel and court testimony

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience in investigations or related fields.
• Associate degree (60+ credits) or higher.
• Bachelor degree (120+ credits) or higher.
• Excel experience for tracking trends or data.
• OSINT/SOCMINT experience beneficial.
• Knowledge of FDUTPA and consumer protection preferred.

Responsabilités

• Review consumer complaints and analyze trends by location, numbers and violations.
• Prepare memoranda, reports, spreadsheets, charts, and graphs.
• Communicate with victims, witnesses, and investigators or attorneys.
• Identify trends and follow monetary transactions in investigations.
• Develop leads using OSINT/SOCMINT and public records.
• Assist investigators and attorneys with special assignments, possibly requiring travel.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite for data analysis.
• May testify in court about investigation work performed.
