Job summary

Office of the Attorney General in Tallahassee, Florida, seeks a highly experienced Financial Investigator-CONSUMER PROTECTI to conduct complex fraud investigations, including FDUTPA enforcement and asset tracing. You will develop strategies, collect evidence, and coordinate with attorneys and other agencies to advance civil actions.

The role requires extensive investigative experience, including financial crime exposure, strong analytical skills, and the ability to testify when necessary.

Qualifications

• Nine (9) years of investigative or law enforcement experience, with at least two years in financial investigations or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and five years of investigative experience, including two years in financial investigations or related fields.
• Master’s degree and three years of investigative experience, including two years in financial investigations or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex fraud and financial investigations involving consumer protection and FDUTPA violations.
• Develop and implement investigative strategies; pursue logical leads and document findings.
• Review financial statements, bank records, and business documents to identify fraud indicators and losses.
• Lead or support investigative teams; prepare reports and affidavits for civil litigation.
• Present findings to attorneys and management; coordinate with law enforcement partners.
