Job summary

State of Florida in Florida is seeking an Assistant Investigation Manager (SES) to supervise an investigative team within the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. You will guide staff, assign cases, and ensure compliance with statutes and board rules.

The role requires strong supervisory and investigative skills, training responsibilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with the public and internal staff. This is an in-office, on-site position under the DBPR.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of investigation experience, and two (2) years of supervisory experience; OR
• Four (4) years of regulatory experience, and two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree with related experience as noted in the preferred section.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand each of the Division’s program areas to ensure adequate training and assessment of incoming complaints.
• Answer inquiries from the public relating to each of the Division’s program areas.
• Provide motivation and training to employees and meet with staff regularly.
• Evaluate employees through established criteria and ensure criteria are met.
• Review incoming constituent complaints and determine case assignments.
• Track and monitor cases to ensure deadlines.
• Review investigative reports for accuracy and provide feedback.
• Provide timely written and telephonic responses to complaints and inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of Department and other agencies’ functions for referrals.
• Consult with supervisors on concerns and solutions.
• Conduct interviewing, hiring and training of new staff.
• Attend supervisor meetings and perform related work as required.
