UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Inventory Warehouse Specialist opportunity in Carlsbad, NM at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).

Work Location: On-Site at WIPP preferred,

Duration: 6 months assignment

U.S. Citizenship required

The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is the nation’s only permanent nuclear waste repository for defense-generated transuranic (TRU) waste generated from Department of Energy (DOE) sites across the country. Waste is permanently isolated over 2,000 feet underground in deep salt beds.

Duties:

• The successful candidate will receive and inspect merchandise from delivery trucks.
• Receive material into the accounting system and organize merchandise on racks.
• Perform daily inventory cycle counts.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, and requests for materials or other stock items.
• Ready material orders to be staged/delivered to different areas for distribution.
• Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in warehouse.
• Perform any other warehouse related tasks or projects assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

• This position requires basic mathematical and computer skills and ability to pass the
• required training to perform the job.
• Ability to operate a forklift both electrical and diesel (preferred).
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Must be a US citizen.
