Job summary

Canon Business Process Services, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Technician to support CHOP hospital operations. The role involves pulling and delivering stock, receiving orders, and ensuring items reach the correct departments efficiently.

The position requires attention to detail, ability to adapt to changing priorities, and solid communication skills to coordinate with Receiving, Supervisors, and Customer Service staff. On-site work with competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • One year in hospital materials distribution, inventory management or logistics preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Lawson or similar supply chain systems required.
  • Must be a critical thinker with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
  • Strong prioritization, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Pulls orders from storeroom and delivers to requesting departments.
  • Receives and delivers special orders to the appropriate departments.
  • Cycle counts stock and maintains organized storage areas.
  • Retrieves and delivers durable medical equipment and wheelchairs.
  • Communicates issues to Customer Service and managers.
  • Maintains clean, organized work areas and provides training as assigned.
  • Aids Level II technicians and managers as needed.

Job description

Overview

The Inventory Technician processes requests, pulling, and delivering of stock items to ordering departments. Also responsible for receiving and delivering special orders item(s) to the appropriate departments.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities depend on assigned level (I, II) and hospital needs
  • Works with the Receiving & other Shift Supervisors/Managers, Inventory Control Analysts and Customer Service Specialists with requests for priority services and to report issues
  • Must be detail, action, and results oriented
  • Must demonstrate mature judgment in managing responsibilities
  • Requires specialized expertise in the CHOP processes, methods, and skills related to inventory management
  • Pick orders from storeroom to stock totes and carts for PAR locations
  • Pick orders from storeroom to stock carts for bedside mother carts.
  • Put away products received for the storeroom inventory.
  • Cycle count stock bulk items
  • Retrieve, restock, and deliver durable medical equipment (DME) and wheelchairs
  • Retrieve and deliver portable gas tanks, pumps and emergent supplies (SOS & STAT's)
  • Contact Customer Service and managers to report issues
  • Maintain assigned areas in a clean and organized manner
  • Provide training to new Inventory Technicians, as assigned
  • Assist Level II techs and managers with work, as assigned

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Repetitive motion
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbs.
  • Walking, standing for extended periods of time
