Job summary

Brix Cannabis is seeking an Inventory Technician to ensure accurate tracking and control of WIP and finished goods in the vault, aligning movements and documentation with SOPs and state regulations.

The role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and proficiency with inventory tracking tools and data entry. Physical requirements include standing long hours and lifting up to 50 pounds in a secure, regulated facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain batch records for all WIP and finished goods, ensuring audit readiness.
• Data entry and maintenance of inventory and production records, including trackers.
• Conduct weekly vault audits and reconcile counts against records.
• Count verifications during transfers, packaging runs, and product movement.
• Coordinate with laboratories for sample submissions and test results.
• Manage stability samples, including storage, labeling, and documentation.
• Maintain organized vault storage for all inventory.
• Report discrepancies or compliance concerns to management.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
• Adhere to SOPs, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with Post Harvest duties when necessary.

Inventory Tech Job Description

The Inventory Technician is responsible for accurate tracking, verification, and control of all work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods inventory stored within the vault. This role serves as a critical link between operations and compliance, ensuring all inventory movement, documentation, labeling, and testing coordination meets internal SOPs and state regulatory requirements. The position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and accountability, as well as strict adherence to inventory control and compliance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage batch records for all WIP and finished goods, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness
• Perform data entry and ongoing maintenance of inventory and production records, including the Master Production Tracker, Buck and Trim Tracker, and other required data systems
• Conduct weekly vault audits, including physical inventory counts and reconciliation against inventory records
• Perform count verifications during inventory transfers, packaging runs, and product movement
• Capture and organize brand registration and compliance photographs as required
• Coordinate with third-party laboratories for sample submissions, test results, and required documentation
• Manage stability samples, including storage, labeling, tracking, and documentation
• Maintain organized, compliant vault storage for all WIP and finished goods inventory
• Report discrepancies, variances, or compliance concerns to management immediately
• Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews as required
• Adhere to all company SOPs, security protocols, and regulatory requirements at all times
• Assist with Post Harvest duties when necessary

• Associate degree or relevant coursework in manufacturing, supply chain, compliance, or a related field preferred
• Prior experience in inventory control, manufacturing operations, or regulated environments preferred
• Familiarity with batch records, inventory tracking systems, or production documentation is a plus
• Experience working in cannabis or other highly regulated industries preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready records
• Ability to work independently while following SOPs precisely
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, data entry, and inventory tracking tools
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive inventory and compliance data with discretion
• Willingness and ability to work in secure, restricted-access areas
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 9 hours per day
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds in accordance with facility safety guidelines
• Ability to complete all physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to pass a background check as required by state cannabis regulations
