Job summary

Stansell Electric Company, a long‑standing Tennessee electrical contractor, seeks an Inventory Systems Analyst to own WMS and related data systems. You will optimize workflows, maintain data integrity, and partner with Operations, Procurement, and Delivery teams to enhance inventory accuracy and service levels.

Responsibilities include configuring WMS, building dashboards, managing databases, and driving standard operating procedures while ensuring compliance and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business, Logistics, or a related field — or 4+ years of general professional work experience in lieu of a degree
• 3–5 years of experience administering or supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, and shipping processes
• Proficiency with database management, data analysis, and reporting tools
• Experience with ERP integrations and inventory transaction workflows
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator and SME for the WMS, leading implementation, upgrades, testing, and deployment
• Configure, maintain, and optimize system workflows, business rules, and user permissions
• Ensure WMS processes accurately support receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and returns
• Maintain inventory, warehouse, and logistics databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency
• Develop and manage database structures, reports, queries, and dashboards
• Establish and maintain data governance standards for inventory and logistics information
• Build dashboards for warehouse and inventory operations to support decision-making
• Analyze inventory trends, transaction accuracy, cycle count results, and operational performance
• Support cycle count programs and inventory audits; monitor inventory accuracy metrics
• Document business processes and develop standard operating procedures
• Act as liaison between warehouse operations and Delivery teams
• Drive company-wide adoption of WMS tools, processes, and best practices
• Ensure system processes support quality, compliance, and audit requirements

About the role

• The Inventory Systems Analyst owns the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the systems supporting material and inventory operations — including receiving, inventory control, warehousing, shipping, and material tracking. This role is the primary owner of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), inventory databases, reporting tools, and related technology platforms, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and scalable processes.
• The Inventory Systems Analyst partners with Operations, Procurement, Prefab, and Delivery teams to use technology and data analytics to improve inventory accuracy, material visibility, warehouse productivity, and customer service performance.

What you'll do

Warehouse Management System (WMS) Ownership

• Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the WMS, leading implementation, upgrades, testing, and deployment
• Configure, maintain, and optimize system workflows, business rules, and user permissions
• Ensure WMS processes accurately support receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and returns

Data & Systems Management

• Maintain inventory, warehouse, and logistics databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across the WMS and related systems
• Develop and manage database structures, reports, queries, and dashboards
• Establish and maintain data governance standards for inventory and logistics information

Reporting & Analytics

• Build dashboards for warehouse and inventory operations to support decision-making through data visualization and advanced reporting
• Analyze inventory trends, transaction accuracy, cycle count results, and operational performance
• Support cycle count programs and inventory audits; monitor inventory accuracy metrics and investigate transactional discrepancies

Process & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Document business processes and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Act as liaison between warehouse operations and Delivery teams to ensure business requirements are understood and delivered
• Drive company-wide adoption of WMS tools, processes, and best practices through training, change management, and stakeholder engagement
• Ensure system processes support company quality, compliance, and audit requirements

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business, Logistics, or a related field — or 4+ years of general professional work experience in lieu of a degree
• 3–5 years of experience administering or supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Which may be included within the general experience above
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, and shipping processes
• Proficiency with database management, data analysis, and reporting tools
• Experience with ERP integrations and inventory transaction workflows
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities

Preferred

• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms
• Experience leading WMS implementations or migrations
• Knowledge of barcode scanning, RFID, and warehouse automation technologies
• APICS/ASCM, Lean, Six Sigma, or related certifications
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or construction supply chain environments
