Job Description

EBAD seeks a skilled individual for the position Inventory Support Specialist and Delivery Truck Driver, reporting to the Supervisor, Material Control. The position is located in Simsbury, CT. The candidate would be responsible for performance of the following specific duties in order to support EBAD site operations and customer deliveries:

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures safe, secure, and efficient transportation, location, pick up, delivery and storage for all materials in compliance with EBAD internal and external policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Performs inventory transactions supporting supplier receipts, internal EBAD part distribution and ensures accuracy of inventory records. Ensures accurate balance between actual physical inventory count/location and ERP system information.
  • Transports production materials and energetic product by vehicle and on foot to various production locations within EBAD’s 700 acre facility. Occasional transport of materials to suppliers and local EBAD off site locations. Vehicle driving is approximately 10-20% of this job and is mostly done within EBAD’s facility.
  • Performs weekly part cycle counting. Supports inventory physicals, quarterly audits, and miscellaneous counts on request.
  • Warehouse and Magazine maintenance IAW to the principles of 6S.
  • Supports replenishment of Kanban and consumable inventories.
  • Performs miscellaneous support duties within Material Control at supervisor’s request.
  • Maintains a high ethical standard and processes an exceptional customer service and support skills. Ability to perform duties with little or no supervision.

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED and a Class B CDL preferably with Hazmat Endorsement

Experience/Skills:

Candidates must have the ability to work independently and safely while interfacing with multiple levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge in a number of the following areas:

  • Must be able to obtain, or currently hold a “Possessors of Explosive Certification”.
  • Must be DOT certified for “Transportation of Hazardous Materials” or successfully complete EBA&D Pure Safety certification training.
  • Must be IATA certified for “IATA Dangerous Goods Transportation”, or successfully complete the certification training.
  • Ability to perform mathematical problem solving and computations.
  • Basic computer literacy. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to operate motorized equipment, forklift, pallet jack and obtain company certifications. Prior equipment experience preferred.
  • Must be able to frequently lift 75lbs
  • Strong attention to detail.
