Job summary

ROHDE & SCHWARZ GmbH & Co. KG is seeking an Inventory Support role in Frederick, MD to monitor and control stock across raw materials, components, and finished goods. You will identify shortages, work with Procurement and Production Planning, and assist with cycle counts and audits.

Key duties include creating production travelers from SAP, maintaining material master data, and supporting the kitting process. Effective communication with Production and other departments is essential.

Job description

• Inventory Monitoring & Control:Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to identify potential shortages and discrepancies.
• Shortage Reduction:Proactively investigate and resolve material shortages, working with Procurement and Production Planning to expedite delivery or identify alternative solutions.
• Cycle Counting Support:Assist with regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Production Traveler Creation:Generate and distribute accurate production traveler documents from SAP, and additional sources ensuring all necessary information and media is included for production personnel. (Training will be provided on SAP usage and label creation.)
• SAP Data Maintenance:Assist with maintaining accurate material master data in SAP, including descriptions, units of measure, and storage locations.
• Material Kitting:Support the kitting process by preparing material packages for production orders.
• Inventory Organization:Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
• Documentation & Reporting:Assist with creating and maintaining inventory-related reports.
• Communication:Communicate effectively with Production, Procurement, and other departments regarding inventory status and potential issues.
