Job summary

Tampa General Hospital-Hernando is seeking an Inventory Supply Coordinator to manage par levels and distribute supplies to requesting departments across the facility. You will handle stock and non-stock items, ensure item numbers are used, and provide basic clerical support with standard computer tasks.

Key duties include maintaining PAR levels on nursing areas, reporting shortages or overages to purchasing, organizing stock, and delivering special order items with signatures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in inventory or supply is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PAR levels on all nursing areas to stock and cleanliness.
• Reports any issues with order to the purchasing department (shortages, overages, breakage).
• Places all stock items on shelf in proper location; chargeable items go to pre-tag area.
• Delivers all special order items and obtains signatures.
• Is present at assigned workstation and ready to work at start time.
• Uses time efficiently and focuses on work duties.
• Receives hospital supplies and crash carts, maintaining defined policy.

Description

Performs a variety of tasks associated with distribution of supplies and equipment to requesting departments. Responsible for inventory management of par carts on units to ensure adequate supplies are available. Responsible for ensuring item numbers are utilized on all products used throughout the facility, both stock and non-stock. Provides clerical support and has basic knowledge of computer skills are required.

Essential Functions

• Maintain PAR levels on all nursing areas to stock and cleanliness
• Reports any issues with order to the purchasing department. (i.e. shortages, overages, breakage)
• Places all stock items either on shelf in proper location, with chargeable items being put in the pre-tag area.
• Delivers all special order items obtaining signature for products delivered.
• Is present at assigned workstation as scheduled. Needs no start up time, is ready to work immediately.
• Uses time efficiently. Does not waste time with functions unrelated to work duties.
• Receiving for hospital supplies, crash cart, maintaining within defined policy.
