Job summary

Taurus Engineering, Inc. in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a hands-on Inventory Supervisor to own our inventory room and ensure the right materials are on hand for production.

You will build processes, train staff, and drive accurate counts across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Responsibilities include leading cycle counts, receiving against POs, issuing to work orders, maintaining organized locations, and setting reorder points to prevent production delays.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of inventory control or warehouse experience in manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP or inventory system.
• A track record of writing procedures, forms or work instructions people actually use.
• Forklift certification, or willingness to get certified within 30 days.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accuracy for raw materials, components, WIP and finished goods in our ERP system.

• Keep bins, labels and locations organized so everything has a home.
• Set reorder points and flag shortages to Purchasing before they hold up production.
• Revamp the department's documentation. Audit what exists, then create clear SOPs, forms, logs and reports for receiving, issuing, counting and adjustments.
• Train and lead inventory staff, and work closely with Production, Quality and Purchasing.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Taurus Engineering is looking for a hands-on Inventory Supervisor to take ownership of our inventory room. You'll help make sure the right materials are on hand when production needs them, and build the processes and documents the department runs on.

• This role is on the warehouse floor. It involves standing, walking, bending and climbing ladders, lifting up to 75 lbs, operating a forklift and pallet jack, and wearing PPE. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
