Job summary

Menasha Corporation seeks an Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee daily activities of the inventory control staff and ensure adequate levels of material and finished goods. You will evaluate inventory needs and implement strategies to meet those needs.

The role requires at least 3 years in inventory control, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred exposure to SAP or WMS. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of inventory control experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or WMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implements inventory management strategies to assure company objectives in safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost and profitability.
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance management to develop and improve inventory management function.
  • Manages and tracks product inventories, providing direction on work in process, finished goods and aged inventories to ensure financial reconciliation and inventory integrity.
  • Directs and prioritizes daily activities including job packet review, cycle counts, audits, damaged material management, and waste tracking and disposal.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management process and information flow.
  • Prepares and reviews required business reports.

About The Opportunity

Supervises the daily activities of the inventory control staff. Ensures adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained. Responsible for evaluating inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs.


Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Implements inventory management strategies to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost and profitability

  • Directs staffing, training, and performance management to develop and improve inventory management function

  • Manages and tracks product inventories, providing direction on work in process, finished goods and aged inventories to assure financial reconciliation and inventory integrity

  • Directs and prioritizes the daily activities including job packet review, cycle counts, audits, damaged material management, and waste tracking and disposal

  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management process and information flow

  • Prepares and reviews required business reports


Education & Experience


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes

  • Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products

  • Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components

  • Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods

  • Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle

  • Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility

  • Must have Stand-Up Forklift Experience

  • Prior SAP or WMS experience preferred


Physical Requirements & Work Environment


  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office setting

  • Frequent walking and standing required

  • Occasional travel required

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
