Job summary

Forgent Power is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to ensure accurate, available, properly stored, and efficiently managed inventory across warehouse operations in Champlin or Dayton. The role partners with Materials, Planning, Production, and Finance to optimize performance and support uninterrupted operations.

The position is full-time and salaried, typically Monday–Friday with standard hours, with additional hours as workload demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, related field, or pertinent work experience.
• Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in materials management, planning, or supply chain operations.
• ERP experience, preferably EPICOR, required.
• Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment preferred.
• Proven experience managing teams.
• Proficiency with Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage material requirements to support production schedules.
• Oversee inventory control, including raw materials and WIP.
• Act as a subject matter expert in the material planning systems (EPICOR).
• Monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Identify and implement inventory reduction and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure proper storage and movement of materials.
• Manage and mentor inventory staff.
• Collaborate with Production, Materials, and Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports and KPIs related to inventory turns, shortages, and excess.

Summary

Forgent Power is seeking an Inventory Supervisor with Industry Technical Expertise. The ideal candidate would have experience and be responsible for ensuring that the company’s inventory is accurate, available, properly stored, and efficiently managed within the warehouse/s. The Inventory Supervisor works closely with the Materials team, planning, purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to support efficient and uninterrupted operations.

This is a full-time, salaried, position. Typical working hours will be Monday – Friday with standard office hours. Additional working hours will be required dependent on the work load.

Specific Duties Include

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Office-based with regular interaction with the Manufacturing floor and 3PL warehouses.
• This position requires the ability to sit, and bend or stand for extended periods of time.
• May require after-hours availability to support operations.
