Job summary

Forgent Power is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to ensure accurate, available, properly stored, and efficiently managed inventory within the warehouse teams. You will collaborate with Materials, planning, production, and finance to support uninterrupted operations.

This full-time role reports to the Materials leadership and requires oversight of raw materials, WIP, and cycle counts, with a focus on accuracy and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain or related field required.
• Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in materials management, planning or supply chain operations.
• EPICOR ERP experience required; proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; Lean principles a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage material requirements to support production schedules.
• Oversee inventory control, including raw materials and WIP.
• Act as a subject matter expert in the material planning systems (EPICOR).
• Monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Identify and implement inventory reduction and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure proper storage and movement of materials.
• Manage and mentor inventory staff.
• Collaborate with Production, Materials, and Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports and KPIs related to inventory turns, shortages, and excess.

Summary

Forgent Power is seeking an Inventory Supervisor with Industry Technical Expertise. The ideal candidate would have experience and be responsible for ensuring that the company’s inventory is accurate, available, properly stored, and efficiently managed within the warehouse/s. The Inventory Supervisor works closely with the Materials team, planning, purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to support efficient and uninterrupted operations.

This is a full-time, salaried, position. Typical working hours will be Monday – Friday with standard office hours. Additional working hours will be required dependent on the work load.

Specific Duties Include

• Plan and manage material requirements to support production schedules

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, related field, or pertinent work experience
• Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in materials management, planning, or supply chain operations
• ERP experience, preferably EPICOR, required
• Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment preferred
• Proven experience managing teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Lean principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to pass background and drug test prior to employment.
• Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish daily tasks while managing through shifting priorities and ambiguity
• Superior problem solving, project management and analytical skills

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Office-based with regular interaction with the Manufacturing floor and 3PL warehouses.
• This position requires the ability to sit, and bend or stand for extended periods of time.
• May require after-hours availability to support operations.
