Job summary

CHEF’STORE is seeking an Inventory Manager who leads a team of Inventory Management Analysts to optimize procurement, forecasting, and replenishment across CHEF’STORE locations. You will drive product availability, minimize waste, and partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations, Finance, IT, and Vendors to align inventory strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, demand planning, inventory management, logistics, or related fields.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with forecasting and inventory management in perishable and/or foodservice categories.
• Proven success leading teams and driving process improvements.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee demand forecasting and inventory planning, incorporating movement, seasonality, and promotions.
• Optimize transportation costs via order sizing, load consolidation, and scheduling.
• Lead and develop Inventory Management Analysts to meet objectives.
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve service issues.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Store Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to align plans.
• Improve freight efficiency and drive cost/service improvements.
• Establish replenishment strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and analyze performance trends.
• Provide ongoing feedback, training, and career development.
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performance team environment.
• Minimize out‑of‑stocks and excess inventory while adjusting forecasts.
