Job summary

Rio Grande is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist for our Albuquerque operations. You will identify and solve inventory issues, work daily in a warehouse management system, and support sales with product information. SAP and WMS experience are required to ensure accurate counts across manufacturing and distribution centers.

The role emphasizes cycle counts, order reconciliation, process documentation, and a focus on continuous improvement to increase inventory accuracy and availability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in inventory control or warehouse roles.
• Experience with yearly/quarterly inventory audits or cycle counting.
• WMS experience required; SAP experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, math, and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor material management and inventory control activities.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; research and reconcile discrepancies.
• Support sales with product information and coordinate with supply chain teams.
• Reconcile and close manufacturing production orders; manage PO receipts and issues.
• Monitor stock across multiple sites and manage cycle counts and balances.
• Identify root causes of variances and recommend improvements.
