Job summary

The State of Ohio’s Rehabilitation and Correction Department is seeking a Storekeeper at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio. You will lead a team of incarcerated individuals, oversee receiving, storing, and distribution of stock, and maintain perpetual inventory in a secure facility.

Responsibilities include enforcing warehouse procedures, maintaining records, processing mail and shipments, and upholding safety rules.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic includes basic operations and percentages.
• Security screening may be required for certain warehouse roles.
• Experience with inventory control, stocking, and shipping/logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of incarcerated individuals in receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing stock.
• Enforces storeroom procedures and maintains inventory records.
• Operates mail handling and related equipment; processes shipments and returns.
• Maintains logs, updates records, and ensures safety policies are followed.
