Job summary

Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, CT is seeking a Material Storage Specialist to maintain efficient stockroom operations on the first shift (7:00am–3:00pm).

You will manage requisitions, receive and issue stock, keep accurate records, and use computer software to track inventory and ensure safety and security of materials on hand.

This role supports campus departments by ensuring timely replenishment, organizing storage areas, and adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Two years of stock or warehouse experience.
• Experience with requisitioning, receiving, storing and issuing materials.
• Ability to keep accurate stock records and inventories.
• Familiarity with computer software for inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees stockroom/warehouse operations and organization.
• Receives and issues stock; maintains receipts and stock on hand records.
• Maintains planned stock placement considering age, accessibility, safety.
• Verifies quantity/quality against invoices and orders; reports discrepancies.
• Maintains housekeeping and security of stores area; conducts inventories.
