State Highway Administration's (SHA) District 5 is currently recruitingfor an Inventory Specialist (Shop Administrative Technician III) in Leonardtown Shop. This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum and selectivequalifications listed below. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies within State Highway Administration (SHA).
Nature of Work: The main purpose of this position is to pick up, receive and deliver parts and supplies. Additionally, to take a physical inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment on hand. The Inventory Specialist enters and retrieves data by computer and prepares, receives, approves, and processes requisitions, invoices and purchase orders for stock replacement, equipment repairs and replacement via computer entry. This position is a MD Corporate Credit Card holder and must maintain records of usage and reconciliation. The Inventory Specialist inspects received items for quality and damage and ensures they are issued to the proper individuals. Lastly, this position stocks all supplies and materials for maintenance shop, personnel, and contacts vendors with any issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience performing administrative support work and/or receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials and equipment in a storeroom, warehouse or other supply storage facility.
Selective Qualification: One (1) year of the required experience must have involved procurement and inventory processes.
