Job summary

United Petfood is hiring a Raw Material & Packaging Inventory Specialist in Mishawaka, IN. You will manage receipt, storage, movement, and control of raw materials, packaging, and production supplies, ensuring accuracy and traceability within the ERP system.

You will collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Planning, and FSQA to maintain material availability, food safety, and efficient operations. The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and ability to operate warehouse equipment,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, raw materials, packaging materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of ERP systems, WMS, and inventory transactions.
• Experience using handheld RF scanners and barcode scanning technology.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and accurately record incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and production supplies.
• Verify shipments against purchase orders, BOLs, packing slips, COAs, and other receiving documents.
• Perform inspections per FSQA requirements and company specs.
• Conduct scheduled cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Process inventory transactions within the ERP system and document movements.
