Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks an Inventory Specialist, Maintenance to support the Starlink Development Operations team. You will manage inbound material, pick parts for development projects, and ensure inventory accuracy.

The role requires forklift operation, attention to traceability, and collaboration with shipping, planning and quality control to resolve receipt and distribution issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of inventory control experience.
• 3+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse.
• Experience operate a forklift and other related inventory equipment.
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain oversight of RFI backlogs and incoming backlogs to ensure material is received and delivered within target.
• Support daily/weekly team meetings to help the team improve and ensure inventory meets needs of direct team and broader customer base.
• Receive, store and issue raw material, parts, details, and hardware to support shop operations.
• Monitor department consumables and own the overall solution and process flow.
• Perform picking to assemble kits of parts, material and hardware; ensure parts are available and accounted for.
• Interface with other teams/sites to resolve problems regarding receipt and distribution of material.
• Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with company procedures.
• Verify all material received for conformity with paperwork; check for damage, part numbers, quantity and revisions.
• Issue material against approved paperwork and ensure traceability or required serialization is correct.
• Breakdown crates, pallets and boxes and store material for improved density and ease of picking.
• Breakdown basic mechanical assemblies into constituent parts to support inventory return.
• Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock.
• Support audits, cycle counts and housekeeping practices.
