Job summary

Freenome is seeking an Inventory Specialist I (Contractor) to join the Inventory Operations team at our Brisbane, CA campus and South San Francisco warehouse. You will receive, store, track, and distribute materials for R&D, clinical and commercial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliant workflows.

You will work with scientists, operations, supply chain, and finance to maintain inventory records, perform cycle counts, and support material availability across locations.FLT forklift training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to load and drive a cargo van with clean driving record.
• Forklift operation ability; training/certification provided.
• At least 1+ year in inventory/warehouse in a regulated environment.
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs; stand/walk for long periods.
• Experience with ERP transactions; NetSuite preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of managing multiple workflows with good judgment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; MS Office and Google Suites.
• Willing to work outside regular hours; Tue–Sat schedule; overtime possible.

Responsibilities

About this opportunity:

At Freenome, we are seeking an Inventory Specialist I (Contractor) to help grow the Inventory Operations team. The ideal candidate will work directly with our scientists and partners in Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to receive, store, track, and distribute materials that support R&D laboratory, clinical, and commercial operations. You are passionate about accurate inventory management, dependable service, and maintaining organized, and compliant workflows. In this role, you will help support Freenome’s mission to change the landscape of cancer detection.

The role reports to the Manager, Inventory Operations. This role will be an onsite role based in our Brisbane, California headquarters and offsite warehouse in South San Francisco, California.

What you’ll do:

• Receive and process inbound materials to support Commercial, Clinical and R&D Operations.
  
• Prepare and ship outbound materials in accordance with DOT regulations.
  
• Maintain and follow Inventory controls and procedures to ensure compliance with Clinical Lab Procedures and SOX regulations.
  
• Maintain good record keeping of physical/virtual records of all inbound and outbound material.
  
• Perform inventory cycle counts on a regular cadence to ensure inventory accuracy.
  
• Accurately enter data and perform inventory transactions with the ERP system with a high level of detail.
  
• Review expiration reports, segregate or quarantine expired materials, and coordinate their disposition.
  
• Review inventory requests and fulfill materials for R&D studies and Commercial Production.
  
• Ensure material availability in all laboratory, stockroom and warehouse locations.
  
• Assist in support tasks, projects and initiatives to keep inventory locations secured, organized, and supplied.
  
• Comply with all company, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Must haves:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  
• Ability to load and drive a cargo van to distribute materials across the Freenome campus, clean driving record required.
  
• Ability to safely operate a forklift (training/certification provided).
  
• Min. 1+ years working experience in inventory management and warehouse operations, preferably within a regulated industry.
  
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs and stand/walk for long periods of time.
  
• Proficiency execute transactions within an ERP, NetSuite preferred.
  
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills with a attention to detail.
  
• Capability to manage multiple workflows and competing priorities while exercising good business judgment.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); preferable Google Suites.
  
• Ability and willingness to adapt in a dynamic environment and cross train across different warehouse and inventory functions.
  
• Must be able to work outside of the regular business hours to help support the goals of Freenome. This role would have a regular schedule of Tuesday through Saturday. Occasional weekend and overtime may be required.
  

Nice to haves:

• Experience with ISO 13485 and/or CLIA requirements preferred.
• DOT shipping certification or familiarity with IATA or 49 CFR requirements preferred.
• Forklift Certification or experience preferred.
