We are seeking an Inventory Specialist - 2nd Shift for our Auburn Hills, Michigan Plant.
Summary:
Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust and debris and can be loud at times. As an Inventory Specialist you will be responsible for providing a service to the manufacturing operations and will monitor and maintain inventory levels. Process and track purchase orders and changes. Perform cycle counts and record results. Compile inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment. In this role you will input data, generate audit reports, coordinate physical movement of parts and materials, update receiving related systems, monitor material handling activities to ensure quality of service, and internal customer delivery expectations consistent with company policy and performance standards and will report to the shift supervisor. Be able to operate forklift, read and understand written directions. And be able to provide report data to the management team. Must follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries including but not limited to request for help from co-workers. Proper handling of finished parts and products to avoid injuries or damage, follow all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment. Provide quality checks as determined. Job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, reporting early and working late including weekends from time to time.
