Aerotek in Westminster, MD is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage the flow of raw materials, parts, and hardware. You will ensure accurate storage and issue of materials to support shop operations.

The role requires 1+ year inventory control experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime. This is a contract-to-hire position onsite in Westminster, with pay $20–$26/hr.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue raw materials, parts, details, and hardware to support shop operations.
• Store parts and materials in bins, drawers, and racks; identify part and stored location.
• Maintain strict material handling practices per procedures.
• Perform picking to assemble kits of parts, material, and hardware.
• Verify material received against paperwork; check for damage, correct part numbers, quantity, and revisions.
• Issue material against approved paperwork; affix verification and traceability on serialized parts.
• Adhere to procedures, desk instructions, and standard operating documents.
• Monitor shelf-life storage and rotate stock properly.
• Support organizational metric goals and provide good housekeeping in the area.
• Perform cycle counts and validate lot trace.

Responsibilities

• Perform picking function to make up necessary kits of parts, material, and hardware, ensuring all parts are available and accounted for.
• Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity, and revisions.
• Issue material against approved paperwork, affixing verification and traceability on required serialized parts before issuing.
• Abide by all procedures, desk instructions, and standard operating documents.
• Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock.
• Support the organization's metric goals and objectives.
• Perform good housekeeping chores in the area.
• Perform cycle counts and validate lot trace.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westminster, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
