Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company EBAD is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join the Supply Chain team supporting the Electronics Center of Excellence. The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and focuses on accurate material receipt, movement, and cycle counting across the production network.

You will work with Operations to manage Kanban systems, support kitting, handle excess/obsolete inventory, and assist with CFP programs while upholding safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • AAS in Business or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Experience in Aerospace and Defense is desired; preferably in a material management organization.
  • Experience using ERP systems to move and ship materials.
  • Inventory transactions, storage and cycle count experience required.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material shipping and movement is desired.
  • DOT CFR-49 and IATA Certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.
  • Energetic, positive, independent, entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to transport parts around campus.

Responsibilities

  • Supports daily shipment receipt and material movement process.
  • Leads problem resolution to ensure accurate, timely accounting for incoming supplier inventory and inventory accuracy.
  • Support the weekly Cycle Count process.
  • Manage count sheets, and reconcile weekly reports.
  • Lead corrective action process and report results.
  • Work with Operations teams to create & maintain production and supplier managed Kanbans.
  • Works closely with Operations teams to manage Kitting program to support work starts.
  • Dispositions of excess inventory and participate in material close-out activity.
  • Assist with reconciliation, disposal and accounting for Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory.
  • Support Customer Furnished Property (CFP) program and supplier inventory process.
  • Leads problem resolution and performs reporting.
  • Back up for hazardous material and inert product Shipping.
  • Outside audit preparation and support.
  • Trouble shooting inventory issues and reconciliations.

This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions.

EBAD seeks a Supply Chain professional for the position of Inventory Specialist, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. This role will be pivotal in supporting the growth of our Electronics Center of Excellence (ECE).

Responsibilities
  • Supports daily shipment receipt and material movement process.
  • Leads problem resolution to ensure accurate, timely accounting for incoming supplier inventory and inventory accuracy.
  • Support the weekly Cycle Count process.
  • Manage count sheets, and reconcile weekly reports.
  • Lead corrective action process.
  • Report results weekly.
  • Work with Operations teams to create & maintain production and supplier managed Kanbans.

  • Work with Operation and Program team members to complete dispositions of excess inventory and participate in material close-out activity.

  • Leads problem resolution and performs reporting.
  • Back up for hazardous material and inert product Shipping.

Requirements
  • High School diploma is required.

  • Experience working in Aerospace and Defense is desired; preferably in a material management organization.
  • Experience using ERP systems to logically move and physically ship materials.
  • Inventory transactions, storage and cycle count experience required.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material shipping and movement experience desired.
  • DOT CFR-49 and IATA Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products; especially Word and Excel.
  • Excels in a dynamic, changeable work environment.
  • Energetic and positive.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Processes an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to transport parts short distances around campus.
Physical Demands

Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50Lbs.
