Responsibilities
- Execute, monitor, and train staff on inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Support pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. Ensure On-Shelf Availability and validate planograms.
- Review and coordinate the use of reports and systems affecting inventory accuracy and pricing.
- Implement and maintain asset protection techniques, and file claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, open and close the store as needed, including system start-ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and preparing the floor and stockroom for business.
Customer Experience
- Engage customers, greet them, and assist with products and services. Resolve customer issues as the leader on duty to ensure a positive experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
Operations
- Manage warehouse and vendor inventory processes, including creating and reviewing orders.
- Handle deliveries, perform tote audits, and verify pharmacy shipments.
- Complete On-Shelf Availability processes, disposals, vendor returns, and pharmacy inventory activities.
- Support pricing activities, including price changes and markdowns.
- Order expense items, maintain inventory accuracy, and support compliance with laws and regulations.
- Assist in physical inventory preparations and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Support package delivery activities and execute the Pickup Program.
- Serve as the point-of-sale operator when serving as the leader on duty, handling transactions and returns.
- Follow company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Attend training sessions, complete e-learning modules, and maintain necessary certifications, including pharmacy licenses if applicable.
Communications
- Act as a liaison between management and staff, communicate tasks, and report issues. Prior retail or Walgreens experience and fluency in English are required. Flexibility in work hours and a positive performance record are also necessary.
