Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Accurately refill raw material containers to support production needs, ensuring proper labeling and tracking, lot numbers, and materials moves within Deacom.
  • Conduct regular inventory tasks, including adjusting for empty containers and performing cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Track material movements and report discrepancies or shortages to the appropriate teams.
  • Ensure all raw materials are stored and handled in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Operate scales and other equipment required for refilling and inventory processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Collaborate with compounders and other team members to ensure seamless production flow.
  • Operate forklift, drum dumpers, and various material handling tools.

Inventory Specialist

About this position

Position Summary and Purpose:


The Inventory Specialist is crucial in supporting our production operations. This role ensures that compounders have the raw materials they need by refilling containers with accuracy and precision, maintaining stock levels across production facilities. The Inventory Specialist maintains material accuracy, monitors stock levels, and performs regular inventory checks, cycle counts, and adjustments.


Essential Functions:

The physical responsibilities described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, as well as talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Must be able to regularly use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and climb stairs. The position requires the ability to lift, push, or pull production and lab products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Must wear respirator while handling appropriate material


Working conditions:



  • The position works in a lab and warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, and RF scanners, and standard lab equipment such as printers, pipettes, and scales. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.


Position Type / Expected Hours of Work



  • This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Tuesday – Friday, 6:00AM – 4:30PM


Education and Experience:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience in inventory management or a similar role in manufacturing required.

  • Knowledge of raw material handling in a food or flavor manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
